At Blue Water Recycling Corporation, we believe that actions speak louder than words. As Modoc and Lassen County's leading recycling center, our expert services make it easy for residents to recycle on a regular basis and keep our environment clean. Since 2021, we have provided a wide range of extensive recycling and processing services to our community.

ABOUT US

Since 2021, our dedicated staff has been offering safe, convenient recycling services to residents in Modoc county and surrounding areas . From collecting CRV recyclable materials at our efficient recycling center, to scrapping your ferrous, non ferrous metals, mattresses and carpet— you name it, we do it!

DO remove ALL caps from plastics place in a separate barrel for payment

DO be respectful of others staff included

DO NOT jump the line

DO NOT leave non crv plastics ( the recycling triangle DOES NOT mean we will accept it) must be CA CRV, CA Cash refund beverage container this does not include milk products

DO NOT be rude to staff they are only human and they are simply enforcing the rules they are told to. They work hard and do the best they can. If you are unhappy with rates talk to your State representative if you are unhappy with your service send us an email so that we can address any issues or clear up confusion.

CRV (CALIFORNIA REDEMPTION VALUE) BEVERAGE CONTAINERS

CRV materials include any beverage container you pay a deposit on in store. milk jugs and other milk products are NOT crv material
*Per state requirements:

- We ONLY accept CRV materials purchased in California.

-Only CA residents can redeem CRV refund over $50 please have CA ID or Plates for records

-We can accept non california residents CRV if materials were bought in california AND total refund is under $50

- Daily load limits are 100 lbs of each material type except glass

1000 lbs per day per customer

If you bring in more than the daily load limits we are required to pay scrap value on the entire load or you may take the entire load back. You may NOT split loads or take part of the load back.

JUNK VEHICLES

Alturas ONLY

We No longer provide junk vehicle and scrap removal on smaller scale projects. If you plan to bring a vehicle in to junk please be sure you have all fluids drained and that there is a junk title in hand, this can be obtained at DMV.

FERROUS AND NON FERROUS SCRAP METAL

Blue Water Recycling provides a wide variety of recycling opportunities for ferrous and non ferrous metals. From bailing wire, t posts and piping to most appliances, tin cans and electrical wiring, we take it all. If it's metal we'll take it!

PROPANE or other pressurized gas TANKS (unless empty and vented)
ANY UNITS WITH REFRIDGERANT ie fridges, freezers, ac units etc

CARPET AND PADDING RECYCLING

Now accepting carpet and padding drop-offs. Drop-off fees are $75 per ton.

MATTRESS RECYCLING

We are proud to partner with Mattress Recycling Council to provide free mattress drop-offs. * NO futon mattresses, mattress toppers, sofa beds or couch cushions.

70' CERTIFIED SCALE

With our 70' public scale we provide certified weight tickets for all commercial trucks, private party needs and DMV requirements. *DMV Weight $25*Certified Commodities Weight $15* Non certified weights $5***Please note scales are not free to check weights. Due to cost of repairs, maintenance and certification ALL vehicles will be charged for check weights.

VEHICLE BATTERY RECYCLING

Lead Acid battery recycling only

NO LITHIUM OR HOUSEHOLD BATTERIES.

We purchase batteries by the pound, this is not a core return service.

CASH AND SELECTED CHECKS ACCEPTED

We accept cash payment and select checks with an ID. We are able to accept credit card payment with a transaction fee.
